White and Cream Lace

I LOVE THE combination of various shades of white and cream all blended together. One day I came home from a shopping trip to the fabric district with a bag full of white and cream laces and trims, and I knew I had to make Clara a full, flouncy skirt out of them. I used a crinkle-cotton fabric as the skirt base and stitched the layers of laces on top. Clara had a plain white blouse that she never seemed to wear, but that was quickly remedied with the addition of some beige crocheted lace down the front. A human-sized lace applique became a lovely cape, and pearls and a cameo complete the soft look. The whole ensemble looked wonderful with Clara’s pale complexion and creamy curls.

Clara is a Doll in Mind Belita on a Doll Family body.
